By Driving

You can take a drive on Maroon Creek Road to the Maroon Bells trailhead from mid-June to early October. People have permission to drive their vehicles to Maroon Bells trailhead only before 8 am and after 5 pm. There is a $10 fee for driving on the road, particularly in the fall. Please note that there are some driving exemptions, particularly if you are carrying infants or differently-abled. If you are an overnight backpacker, horse trailer, camper, or traveler with more than 11 people there are some exemptions.

You can drive out from Maroon Bell’s trailhead at any time of the day because there are no restrictions for driving out.

2.By shuttle bus from Aspen Highlands 

A shuttle bus is available for tourists to go to the Maroon Bells trailhead from 8 am to 5 pm. That’s a 10-15-minute journey. There is a shuttle lot of free parking in the Aspen Highlands, which is a local ski resort. Notice that people need to buy a ticket for the bus ride. From the “Four Mountains Sports”, near the parking area, travelers can buy their bus tickets.

3.By free shuttle at Ruby Park

The shuttle to Aspen Highlands can be fully loaded, particularly in the summer because of a higher amount of tourists and shuttles take passengers only for the number of seats in the shuttle bus. Tourists can catch the free Castle/Maroon bus at Ruby park in Aspen if you are in Aspen and you don’t have any vehicle. Then, tourists can pick up the Maroon Bells shuttle by going to Aspen Highlands.

4.By Cycling

The last and the healthiest way to reach Maroon Bells’ trailhead is cycling the route from Aspen Highlands. It is complimentary for cyclists. Cycling to the Maroon Bells is a stunning and challenging, classic Colorado journey. Cyclists have to ride along Maroon Creek Road up to the maroon bells for approximately 8miles and 1600 vertical feet, which takes roughly 1-1.5 hours to reach up and 35-45 minutes to reach down the.

The Road is relatively clear to cyclists since Maroon Creek Road is closed to all vehicles, except buses from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
