Pack before going to Maroon Bells It is recommended to take sunscreen, a warm rain jacket, comfortable hiking shoes, water and snacks, and of course, a camera when heading for the Maroon Bells! You can enjoy Maroon Lake’s view and hike around the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness Areas while you are there.
(These are the most photographed peaks in North America). The most famous activity here is a picnic near the lake. At the arrival place, tourists have no other facilities other than public bathrooms and water wells.
In general, when hiking beyond Maroon Bells, it is important to take a bear spray. I really do not believe it has been done by walkers most of the day. But if you are reading this, you are warned, so take one with you because safety is the first thing.
